Coach Ratings Survey RateTheCoach Coach Survey is built off the philosophy that, "Everyone is a potential winner, some people are disguised as losers, don't let their appearances fool you." - (Blanchard) A good coach and good student athlete should always be learning and improving, and should never be satisfied in the sense of status quo. Our coach ratings survey measures four cluster groups.
Personality: A coach's personality is an important and influential factor in casual and personal relationships. The reason for evaluating a Coach's personality is to understand specific traits that influence their actions.
Managerial Skills: The survival and continued success of any program depends upon a manager being leadership savvy, having good information, knowledge, and experience, and possessing the ability to steer a program in the intended direction. Look to your coach's ability to multitask.
Teaching Skills: Teaching skills are made up of two groups: "Building Mental Preparation" and "Building Physical Talent and Ability." The reason for evaluating how well one builds the mental skills and mental preparation of others is to determine how well a coach can convey ideas. A coach manages and supervises others, and their success depends on their ability to mentally prepare their team, in turn shaping the group's psychological skills. The reason for evaluating physical ability is to determine a coach's prowess for teaching athletics skills, how much time a coach spends on athletic development, and the importance of athletics in the program.
Academics Emphasis: It's important to evaluate a coach's emphasis on academic to determine the degree to which they value the balance approach to coaching. Look at the quality and quantity of reference to academic value.
